We Integrate
We offer a curriculum that integrates strong academic foundations with #computer science, #programming, and #digital-technology—preparing students for higher education and future careers in the digital age.
The Birth
The Computer Science High School of Bicolandia was founded in 2008 through Republic Act No. 10284, a landmark legislation that formally established an ICT-oriented public high school in the province of Camarines Sur.
Originally named the Bicolandia ICT-Oriented High School, the institution was later renamed Computer Science High School of Bicolandia to reflect its specialized focus on computer science education. From its inception, the school was envisioned as a center for innovation, excellence, and technology-driven learning.
The Visionaries
The establishment of CSHSB was initiated by then Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte, Representative of the Third District of Camarines Sur, in collaboration with the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) under the leadership of its first University President, Atty. Marito T. Bernales.
With the support of then Pili Mayor Alexis San Luis, top-performing elementary graduates from Pili and nearby municipalities were invited to take the school’s first entrance examination in 2008. While the original plan was to accept 70 students, the administration welcomed 72 students, forming the pioneer batch of CSHSB—marking the beginning of a new era in ICT education in the region.
